Sterling Silver Seahorse Pendant

The seahorse pendant in sterling silver here, TP 2454 looks quite good. I like to look at seahorses with their tails curled. And this one looks life like with good details.

That's my preference but I'm really looking for a gift for Wanda.

Wanda's brother keeps a sea water aquarium with corals and colorful fishes. Although the aquarium is not hers, I think she is almost as fond of those sea creatures as her brother is.

When I pay her a visit, she will lead me to their aquarium and tell me accidents about the inhabitants. My impression is that her favourite is the seahorses.

She will point... (more)

Cherry and Dice Pendant

Well, this is interesting.

I had received a squarish charm with a cherry lacquered on and it looks a little like this.

The one on this web page is a pendant, of course which is why I am making a post out of it.

It provides an option to form a set jewelry with my charm. I have to develop a deep enough liking for my charm first and it's too soon to for that yet.

There are two cherries in the pendant and two dices as well. Otherwise, they are quite a perfect match.

Indian Jewelry Kim Would Have Received

This post is about one that got away. A good gift that is. At least, from my point of view.

Kim came back from a trip to India not long ago and she marveled at the rich culture of the country.

Kim bought back souvenirs of many varieties but she said she missed out on jewelry.

She did come across many nice ones that she would have liked to buy but the tour guide adviced that the prices at those spots are high and he will be bringing the tour group to another shopping area with great prices.

Alas, they ran out of time and did not make it there so Kim ended up without opportunities to buy... (more)

Successful Christmas Shopping Season

What is a successful Christmas shopping season?

The way I look at it. I will only know after the big day.

I will look closely at the reactions of the recepients of the gifts and whether they put the gifts to use.

It's not easy, of course. Everybody receives so many gifts so all those gifts have to compete for attention.

So you can say there will be winners and losers.

I just hope that more of mine will be winners. I put so much effort looking for them.

Kid Jewellery Rings in Rose Pink

I think these kid jewellery rings in rose pink will be ideal for my niece, Jesse.

She's ten this year and what an angel.

Getting rings for fingers of a ten year old girl is always going to be a challenge. These pink kid jewellery rings should do it as they are free size and made for kids in mind.

The designs are sweet and simple, just right for little girls.

I like the fact they are handmade so it makes for a personal gift for someone I adore very much.

Being in pink and it is quite a sweet pink makes this almost a sure winner.

Jesse loves pink so she will be delighted to find among... (more)

Black Earrings Gift

There's a pair of black onyx earrings somewhere on this webpage that I am thinking of buying for Hannah for Christmas.

"...Plump, facetted, black onyx ovals glisten with
sterling silver accents. The dangle is .75 of an inch long."

Hannah has an unusual fondness of black and she tends to overdress in black. It's probably worse that she has jet black hair as well.

I say worse because folks are gossiping that she looks like a witch (due to all those black garments and accessories) and are giving her witch related nicknames. It's a good thing Hannah is rather likeable and all those... (more)

Stainless Steel Wire Necklace

I was really astonished to see Jenny wearing a necklace that looked like a bicycle chain lock. I was totally stunned and don't know what to make of it.

You can say it is interesting. I couldn't make my mind think about if it looked good on Jenny or if Jenny looked good with it.

My head is still spinning. What I did manage to do is showed genuine interest and asked Jenny where she got it and she emailed this URL.

"Wraith Collars are made from either a
    light 4mm stainless steel wire,

... The Collar is locked using an ALLEN KEY
(supplied) which is inserted into a 2mm hole on the... (more)

Dolphin Charms and Manatee

This sterling silver dolphin charms page find is quite recent. In fact, the website itself should be very new too.

This site sells jewellery but they have not shown the prices yet. I have gone back a few times and they have been regularly adding new pages.

I have three silver charm bracelets and add or change new charms now and then.

There is a model TC 412 that looks cute. It comes with a piece of embeded Paua Shell too.

There are quite a few in my jewellery collection that feature Paua Shells so I know how they are like. Paua Shells always go well with silver so I am not concerned with... (more)

Butterfly Brooch in Yellow Gold

Part of what I regularly blog about at my main blog is my love for jewellery.

Now and then I will surf the web for jewellery shop websites. If I come across any that I am impressed with I will bookmark them and even create an entry to my blog.

As my jewellery entries are all mixed and jumbled in my very congested main blog, I am going to transfer some of the entries from there or perhaps rewrite my views on them.

Here's one:

One of the things I will look out for in jewellery shops are brooches and this Butterfly brooch shown in yellow gold with black and brown enamel really caught my eye.... (more)

A New Blog and New Drive

It feels unnatural writing a post here.

I have been blogging at the same site for so long it was comfortable like an old crouch.

But Hon has made a comment that got me thinking; she said that my blog is too general to be interesting. She likes to read blogs that are uniform and has a theme.

So here I am, attempting to blog by topics. It is new to me as blogdrive is.
